Es tut mir leid, aber ich spreche kein Deutsch
But I have a small problem.
We started a roof replacement project for a 1993 Cabriolet. We have a complete roof mechanism. Including fabric and frame.
We got the whole thing replaced, but the problem is positioning.
There is an adjustment at the hinge attachment points. But it's not enough. The roof should get another 20mm towards the back end.
Yes, the problem can be solved by drilling and cutting more adjustment space at the mounting points.
But I wonder how it can be that the new part doesn’t fit directly.
The new part does not show bent points or other defects.
I haven't found the part number on the frames but the number should be the same regardless of the model year.
There are small differences between the frames. But they are just cosmetic. That difference in the point of attachment of the hinges is the only one that causes the problem.
Apparently the same problem as this person.

But was there a reason? And what was the solution.
