as Andreas already wrote I`d recommend you the Eibach Pro Kit in addition with a spring distance kit from Weitec for the rear. I installed this Setup about 3 years ago and am very happy with it. It looks good and is still comfortable enough to drive it. In your case I would not lower the car for more than 20mm considering the condition of streets in America as I heard.
The spring distance kit is important to not make the car look like it was lower in the rear than in the front. If you want to I can send you more picture of my car by mail so you can get an impresion how it looks like. Installed in your car it might be a little lower in the front because of the higher weight of your engine.
