I am a little confused. Which was the original rear window on 80 Cabrio. Green or Clear?

I will order a new top and don't know whch one to choose. Any suggestions? Which is the most common on replacement tops?

I've never seen a green rear window on an Audi. Is it good looking or is the clear to prefer?
Which is the most common on the after market?
I wonder why they use green Wopavin? I see that green is more expensive. Is it better quality related to the original?

afaik kAlle is right: Audi only built in clear rear windows. IIrc Holli69 (one of our Admins) got a coloured rear window when replacing his old top. He even may be the only one.

i think the most of the after market tops have green rear windows.
My "Acker"-Top also.
The appearance is in my opinion very harmonic because it suits to the other (colored) windows and it´s not a flashy green.

Depending on manufacturer/repair shop, aftermarket tops could be ordered with a green-tinted or clear window. As I was replacing mine, I got asked extra about the rear window colour and offered a choice between clear and greenish tinted. Opted for clear.
